You asked, we listened — Food Truck Thursdays are back and better than ever! We’re excited to share that we’ve extended the season. Join us at The Cove every Thursday from May through September for great food, good company, and an easy way to connect with neighbors.

Calling all makers & artisans

We’re excited to introduce Grow & Gather at Barefoot — a market celebrating the creativity, craftsmanship, and homegrown talents of our community.

We’re currently looking for resident makers and artisans to be part of this event. Whether you grow cut flowers, bake sourdough or sweet treats, create pottery, craft candles, or have another handmade or homegrown offering, we’d love to have you join us.

Just a few days away

We’re just a few days out from launching our new amenity access system at The Cove! To ensure a smooth transition, we encourage all residents to take a few quick steps now.

Be sure to download the KISI app to your phone — this will be your primary way to access the Fitness Center and, soon, the pool. Once your RecDesk waiver is approved, your access will automatically sync to the app.

Water update: A mindful approach

As of April, the Little Thompson Water District shared that they have a strong water supply — including an above-average Colorado-Big Thompson allocation and healthy stored reserves.

The district will remain in a Water Shortage Watch (Level 1) — no required restrictions at this time, but conditions will continue to be monitored and could change.

Residents may continue normal water use, with a continued focus on voluntary conservation as we navigate ongoing drought conditions. Simple steps like limiting watering to three days per week, watering during cooler hours, checking for leaks, and using efficient irrigation methods can make a meaningful impact.

Spring sightings

Each month, we invite you to help tell the story of our community. This month’s theme is Spring Awakening — a celebration of everything coming to life around us. We’re looking for photos of blooming flowers, budding trees, fresh green spaces, and those simple springtime moments that make Barefoot feel vibrant this time of year.

Send your photo to us, and you could be featured in an upcoming edition of the Barefoot Beat, marketing materials, or on social media.

Permissions

By submitting a photo, you confirm you have permission to share it and that the District, Development, and Management partners may use it in community communications and social media. No payment will be provided. Photo credit will be given whenever possible.

Pardon the progress: Street improvements underway

You may have noticed some activity in Filing 5 — the developer is completing street repaving this week as part of town warranty requirements. This work will help maintain and improve roadway quality throughout the neighborhood.

Construction is scheduled April 21–29 (weather permitting) and will include milling and asphalt overlay. As part of the process, no parking signage has been installed, and we kindly ask residents to follow posted signage and avoid parking in affected areas during this time to allow crews to complete the work safely and efficiently.
