Update on 2026 Water-Use Restrictions
As of April, the Little Thompson Water District does not plan to implement mandatory water restrictions in 2026 due to a strong water supply, including an above-average Colorado-Big Thompson allocation and adequate stored reserves.
The district will remain in a Water Shortage Watch (Level 1), meaning no required restrictions, but conditions will continue to be monitored and could change.
Residents may continue normal water use, but voluntary conservation is encouraged due to ongoing drought conditions. Recommended actions include limiting watering to three days per week, watering during cooler hours, checking for leaks, and using efficient irrigation methods.
LTWD emphasizes long-term water reliability and will keep customers informed if conditions shift. Please reach out to Little Thompson Water District with any questions.
