Sept. 19 | 9:30 a.m.-7 p.m. | The Cove

Art looks a little different for everyone — and this Saturday, there’s room for all of it at Barefoot! Join us Sept. 19 for Barefoot Arts Weekend and spend the day creating, exploring and connecting with neighbors.

From the Chalk Walk and multimedia art to coffee, a scavenger hunt and more, come find your favorite way to get creative!

Event timeline

9:30 a.m. | Chalk Walk check-in

Stop by the check-in table to pick up your supplies, choose your spot and get drawing!

10 a.m. | Erie Coffee Roasters

Grab a cup of coffee while supplies last and enjoy the morning at The Cove.

10 a.m. | Paint recycling drop-off

Have leftover paint taking up space in the garage? Bring your old interior or exterior paint to the recycling drop-off in The Cove parking lot and clear out those cans while helping keep paint out of the trash.

Noon | Chalk Walk art time concludes

The official Chalk Walk creative time wraps up for registered artists, but there’s still plenty of room to make your mark! Grab some chalk and keep creating through 7 p.m.

Noon | Multimedia art

Explore your creative side with a variety of art activities, including coloring pages, clay, watercolors, paints and more.

1 p.m. | Art Walk scavenger hunt

Explore the artwork around The Cove and see if you can find all the items on the scavenger hunt! Turn in your completed hunt to pick up a small prize.

7 p.m. | Event concludes

Come create, explore and celebrate the arts with your neighbors. We can’t wait to see what Barefoot makes!

Pardon our parking lot

A parking lot refresh is coming to The Cove. On Monday, Sept. 21, the parking lot will be closed all day for scheduled maintenance.

Please plan ahead and do not park in The Cove parking lot on Sept. 21. Barriers will be in place throughout the work, and the lot will reopen once maintenance is complete and the barriers have been removed.

Thank you for planning ahead and helping us keep the area clear while the work is underway.

Hello, neighbor

National Good Neighbor Day is Sept. 28, and it’s the perfect excuse to do something small that makes a big difference. From saying hello to lending a hand, there are plenty of simple ways to connect with the people around you.

This month, invite a neighbor to coffee at The Cove. Whether it’s someone you’ve known for years or someone you’ve only waved to in passing, a cup of coffee is a simple way to slow down, say hello and get to know each other a little better.

Living in a metropolitan district

Did you know Barefoot is part of a metropolitan district? Metro districts are local governmental entities that help fund, build and maintain community infrastructure and amenities such as parks, trails, recreation facilities and landscaping.

At Barefoot, the St. Vrain Lakes Metropolitan Districts help provide and maintain many of the community features that make Barefoot feel like home.
