A few minutes can make an impact

There's still time to help shape the future of community life at Barefoot! The 2026 Community Life Survey will close Friday, July 24, at 5 p.m.

Share your thoughts on community events, programs, operations, communications, and more. Your feedback helps us understand what's working well and where we can continue to improve.

The survey takes approximately 10-12 minutes to complete and must be finished in one sitting, as responses cannot be saved.

Back to school at Barefoot

The school year is just around the corner, and we’re celebrating our young learners as they head back to the classroom!

Join us for a few fun ways to kick off the school year:

Sweet Cow returns | Aug. 13

Celebrate the return of Sweet Cow during Food Truck Thursday. Stop by The Cove from 5-7 p.m. for our Barefoot Back to School Night featuring fun activities for the whole family.

First day treat | Aug. 18

Start the school year with a little extra sweetness!

Whether you’re heading back to school or cheering on a young learner, we can’t wait to celebrate this exciting season with our Barefoot neighbors!

Paw-casso night

July 29 | 5-7 p.m. | The Cove

Get creative and celebrate your favorite furry, feathered, or scaly friend at Paint Your Pet Night with Becky M!

While your pets will need to stay home, Becky will guide you through creating your own masterpiece. All you need to bring is an 8.5 x 11 printed photo of your beloved pet to use as inspiration.

Space is limited — text Becky at 303-563-9601 to reserve your seat!

Cost: $20 per painter. Includes your frame, all supplies, and a fun evening of creativity and memories.

Who does what at Barefoot?

Barefoot is a Metropolitan District community, not an Homeowners Association. Here, that means community responsibilities are shared between two management teams, each with a different role.

Community management | Cohere

The Community Life team is here to support resident engagement and day-to-day community operations, including:

• The Cove and amenity operations

• Community events and programs

• Resident communications

• Covenant inspections and enforcement

• Design review process

• Resident support and portal

District management | Pinnacle Consulting Group

Pinnacle Consulting Group manages the business operations of the Metropolitan District, including:

• Common area landscape maintenance

• Lake management

• Contracts and capital improvement projects

• Board meeting administration and District records management

• District finances

Understanding who manages what helps ensure your questions and requests are directed to the right team. Together, Cohere and Pinnacle Consulting Group work on behalf of the St. Vrain Lakes Metropolitan District to support the Barefoot community.

Keeping pet stations buzz-free

You may notice new faux wasp nests hanging at select pet waste stations. These safe, chemical-free deterrents help discourage wasps from nesting nearby and make using the stations more comfortable for everyone.

Thanks for helping keep Barefoot's trails clean by picking up after your pets!

Barefoot Lakes Parkway northbound lane closure

Beginning Monday, July 27, 2026, a utility contractor will close the northbound lanes of Barefoot Lakes Parkway between Sanctuary Avenue and Lake Port Avenue.

Detour information

• Northbound traffic will be detoured using the following route: Sanctuary Avenue, Inland Avenue, Barefoot Lakes Parkway

• Southbound traffic will remain open and will not be affected.

• Traffic control devices and detour signage will be in place throughout the project area to help guide motorists safely through the detour.

Motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists are encouraged to use caution, follow all posted traffic control and detour signs, and allow extra travel time while work is underway.
