Join us for Blossoms & Beats — a vibrant, hands-on event celebrating creativity, community, and the start of spring.

This all-ages event will feature a variety of interactive activities, including a kids build with Home Depot, succulent planting and pot painting, and a chance to decorate your own musical instrument. Residents can also enjoy refreshing lemonade and a local food truck while spending time together in a fun, welcoming environment.

We'll send the RSVP link for the kids build next week in the Barefoot Beat (March 26). Spots are limited, so check your inbox at 5 p.m. to sign up early.

Barefoot means business

We’re excited to highlight the local businesses and entrepreneurs that make our community special! If you own a business or know someone in Barefoot who does, we invite you to drop off your business cards or flyers at The Cove.

These materials will be collected and compiled into a resident resource binder, making it easy for neighbors to discover and support local businesses right here in our community.

Bring your gently used items — or just come to shop! You don’t need to bring anything to take something home.

If you can, let us know if you plan to attend so we can better anticipate how much may be available to donate at the end of the event. Drop-offs during the week are also welcome — please coordinate with Kathryn Rorer.

Streamlined access

Starting in April, we’ll use RecDesk for all waiver forms and facility check-ins, and KISI for upgraded door access. This integrated system will streamline pool and fitness center entry, simplify guest passes, and allow mobile access via your phone — reducing the need for physical cards.

We appreciate your patience during this transition and are thrilled to provide these upgraded systems to enhance your experience at The Cove. For questions or assistance, please reach out to our team.

Installation dates

The new access system will be installed April 6 - 7.

• Normal access-controlled doors may be temporarily unavailable.

• Facility hours will be limited to 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.

RecDesk registration

To ensure uninterrupted access — create your RecDesk account. Use your full legal name and add all household members. Enroll in the 2026 Membership (free for residents) and complete the 2026 annual waiver form for each household member.

Mobile access

With KISI, your phone will become your primary key, helping prevent lost cards and fees while simplifying entry across all amenities.

Once approved, RecDesk will communicate with KISI to automatically activate your access.

Meet Clean Up club at the corner of I-25 frontage road and county road 24 1/2 to clean up the frontage road. The town provides bags, trash grabbers, vests, and latex gloves. Please bring water and wear long pants, sturdy close-toed shoes and layers.
