We wanted to let you know that we heard the community’s concerns regarding a safety issue at Waterside Park relating to the larger slide. 

A few weeks ago, we had a certified playground inspector complete a formal inspection of the equipment relating to the safety concern.  

The inspection revealed that the slide has shifted closer to the adjacent rocks, creating a condition that requires corrective action.  Based on the findings, the District has decided that the slide be temporarily closed until the safety issue can be fully resolved.  

The District is in the process of considering several potential solutions, including relocating the adjacent rocks, modifying the existing rock structure, or installing a covered slide.  

Please know that the District is actively working with the Board of Directors to identify and implement a resolution as quickly as possible.  We will be sharing additional information relating to the repair as it becomes available.
