Your July 4 celebration starts here

Celebrate Independence Day with your Barefoot neighbors at our annual Red, White & Bike Parade on Friday, July 4!

Decorate your bike, scooter, or wagon in your best red, white, and blue and join us as we ride from Waterside Park to The Cove, where popsicles await to help kick off the holiday.

Event timeline

• 8:30 a.m. — Bike decorating at Waterside Park

• 9:25 a.m. — Parade lineup

• 9:30 a.m. — Parade begins

• 10 a.m. — Arrive at The Cove for popsicles

Make a day of it! Rock N Puck Pizza will be serving lunch and dinner at The Cove from noon-7 p.m., making it the perfect way to keep the holiday fun going.

Holiday hours

In observance of Independence Day, The Cove will close at 3 p.m. and the pool will close at 5 p.m.

Celebrate safely this Independence Day

Looking for a spectacular way to end your Independence Day? Join the Town of Firestone for the 4th at Firestone Fireworks Show! The professional display begins at 9:30 p.m. and can be viewed from Miners Park or the event parking lot next to the Carbon Valley Active Adults & Community Center. Arrive early to enjoy the festivities and find the perfect viewing spot.

As a reminder, Colorado law prohibits fireworks that explode or leave the ground, including bottle rockets, Roman candles, and aerial fireworks.

For a safe and memorable holiday, leave the big show to the professionals and help keep our community safe. If you choose to use legal fireworks, please follow all safety guidelines and dispose of them properly.

Grow & Gather

July 10 | 5-8 p.m. | Barefoot Village

Join us on the second Friday of each month through September for an evening of local makers, growers, and community connection.

Shop handcrafted goods from local artisans, enjoy live music, grab a bite from a food truck, and let the kids explore the Kids' Corner. Come early to tour Barefoot's thoughtfully crafted model homes, then stay to shop local and connect with your neighbors.

An evening with Resilient Roots

This informative evening will focus on the native grasses and natural areas throughout Barefoot. Resilient Roots Ecology will share information about the purpose and benefits of native landscapes, their seasonal growth cycles, and the important role they play in supporting the environment and character of our community.
